Leo De Rosa, founder and managing partner of the Firm, specialises in the protection, transmission and transfer of entrepreneurial and family assets, ranging from corporate reorganisation to private equity transactions and implementation of instruments of generational dialogue.

After gaining experience in some of the foremost national and international firms, he founded Studio Legale e Tributario Russo De Rosa Associati, the market leader in extraordinary transactions, intergenerational transfer, asset protection, real estate finance, tax disputes and financial and international taxation. He is actively involved in publishing and is the scientific coordinator, as well as lecturer in masters in tax law, masters in extraordinary transactions, masters in corporate finance & business strategy and masters in energy of Il Sole 24 Ore. He collaborates with the Bocconi University of Milan in the Extraordinary Transactions and Special Budget Issues course. The following comprise some of his main publications of recent years : from 2016 to 2017, a series made up of six volumes concerning extraordinary transactions, published by Il Sole 24 Ore; in 2016, a book on extraordinary transactions (now reaching its tenth edition); in 2015, a volume on voluntary disclosure; in 2014, a volume on debt restructuring agreements (on its second edition) and one on corporate succession; in 2012, a book dedicated to intergenerational transfer; in 2010, a book on the tax shield (which had two editions) and in 2009, a book on real estate taxation. He has belonged to the Association of Journalists, Register of Publicists since 2010. He has been a member of the award panel “From Father to Son” since 2011.

He created and permanently collaborates with the article “Lex & The City” in Advisor Private and contributes to the column on the private world in Citywire on a monthly basis.

He is a representative of the Firm and member of the Tax and Legal Commission at the AIFI (Italian Association of Private Equity and Venture Capital). He is also the Firm’s representative at the AIPB (Italian Private Banking Association), as well as a member of the Technical Real Estate, Private Insurance and Normative and Legal and Tax Advisory Committees. He has been a member of the Board of Probiviri since 2014 and chairs and organises the “Private Entrepreneurs” work group of the AIPB. Since 2013, he has also been collaborating with “Piazza Affari” [business TV programme aired by RaiTre], commentating on air upon measures and novelties in the tax environment. Since 2014, he has been the scientific supervisor of Abi Formazione on asset protection issues and intergenerational transfer. In 2014, he was awarded, together with Alberto Russo as founder, the accolade of “Tax advisor firm of the year” during the Tax & Finance Awards given by a panel jury formed by some of the top exponents of the economic, financial and entrepreneurial worlds. He was awarded the same recognition on a personal basis as “Professional tax advisor of the year “. In 2016, on the same occasion, he received the award “Best Practice Voluntary Disclosure Firm of the Year”. In 2017, he was the winner of the Tax Awards of the Legal Community in the category “Tax Private Equity Professional of the Year” and also of the Industry Awards of the Top Legal in the category “ Investment Funds Professional of the Year”.

He graduated in 1991 from Francesco D'Ovidio Highschool in Larino (CB) and in 1997 with top marks and honours from the Bocconi University of Milan. Since 2001, has been registered at the Association of Chartered Accountants and the Association of Statutory Auditors since 2003.

He is fluent in Italian and English.
